The Best Weekend of My Life
I did it.
Last weekend, I was the MVP of the top handball competition in Spain:

On the first real opportunity life gave me — I delivered.
I played with confidence.
I executed the plan ruthlessly.
I held my own at the highest level.
And I left everything on the court.
After years of doubt, frustration, and waiting...
I finally showed the world the level I’ve always had inside me.
But, it’s too late. I’m still walking away.
Why?
Because there’s no path forward I believe in.
Not the right offer.
Not the right team.
Not the right salary.
Not the right city.
Just more sacrifice, more waiting, more hoping.
I’m done with that.
I’m no longer willing to keep giving my life to something that gives me so little back.
To keep being “good enough” while watching less talented players get the shot.
To keep waiting for doors that never open.
I’ve reached the level.
I’ve played the best handball of my life.
And I got to enjoy it. Truly.
But the opportunity came too late.
And I’m not going to stay stuck in second division — not anymore.
What Hurts?
It hurts to walk away from something I worked so hard to become great at.
To give up on a dream I chased my whole life.
To know I could have gone even further.
It hurts to know that I had the level.
That I deserved more.
But I’m also at peace.
Because I proved it.
To others (acknowledging it to me without me asking)— and to myself.
I leave handball with one of the best memories of my life:
Playing the semifinals against the best team in the world.
In the main squad.
Smiling. Competing. And mastering myself.
I finally remembered how it felt to enjoy handball again.
And that’s how I’ll leave it.
Now What?
I’m jumping into the void.
For the scariest moved of my entire life.
I’m sacrificing my queen.
I’ll have to rebuild my identity.
The chapter of handball 99% closed.
It’s time to compete in another game.
